Mission
What the Foundation is for.
The Guazabara Foundation raises social consciousness and uplifts communities. It serves people who already stand on their humanity and their rights.
Purpose
What the charter authorizes.
The Foundation's Articles of Incorporation set its purpose. It provides health and educational services that raise social consciousness. It provides social services, casework, workshops, lectures, media, events, and action planning. It provides mentoring to young people and adults.
The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors under its bylaws. The Board has adopted a Conflict of Interest Policy.
Leadership
Dennis Febo, Executive Director.
Dennis Febo is the Foundation's Executive Director and the President of its Board. He is the author of Cultural and Social Consciousness Education, the curriculum the Foundation delivers, and of the Warrior Sutras Philosophy.
He taught as Professor of Health Sciences at New Jersey City University from 2017 to 2025.
